Five years ago a wedding planner in Chicago decided it was time to make her dream job a reality!

Visions turned five last month and it’s crazy to even think that, 1) I forgot (was way to busy to stop and plan a party) and 2) That it’s been that long, it actually feels longer in some weird way.

My dad once told me (well maybe more than once)

You will sneeze and be 40!!

I believe he started telling me this when I turned 30.  Of course as most daughters do, I really didn’t think it was true.  Maybe on the other side of 40 things start to speed up but I wasn’t feeling it at 30, so why pay much attention?

I wish I would have paid more attention, heeded his advice and slowed down to really enjoy all the great moments over the last five years.

I’m 35, Visions Event Studio turned five and it went by so fast, like lightning speed!   So many great adventures, opportunities and struggles that I have walked through victorious.

God’s In Control

I started Visions Event Studio with one thing in mind, to serve the brides and grooms of Chicago while helping them plan their wedding.  God had other plans…I wouldn’t have believed it then but He had bigger things in store for my little company.

Giving Back

I have always wanted to allow Visions Event Studio to be a place that I can minister to people through my work and He has so allowed that.  I opened our internship program in 2012 and my very first intern was handed to me by God; she would tell you the same thing.

It was surely a God thing, we could not deny it, and so started the internship program that as of today is one of our biggest celebrations as a company.

To give back to the community by allowing others to come into your business, learn and grow from you is so rewarding for us and for the interns.  It has blessed so many people’s lives as they have went on in their wedding planning careers.

Visions Event Studio Proposal Planning

I can’t even take credit for our biggest service; our custom proposal planning to the men of Chicago.  Nope, that wasn’t me, that was a God thing as well.

I remember five years ago racking my brain wanting to create a unique service that would compliment the wedding service that we already offered.  I didn’t want to do corporate events, I knew that from the beginning.

God had a path already laid out for Visions Event Studio that would make it the five star proposal service in the nation that it is today.

I know that God has so many more plans for us as we begin to grow and add more interns to our growing team, hiring my very first wedding planner was such a blessing in 2015.   I really can not tell you how much that I have already seen Him knitting together so much for this upcoming year! I can’t wait to share it all with you very soon!
