When you love your job, it ceases to be work. I help to bring about the happiest day in a couple’s life as a Chicago Wedding Planner and I feel so honored to be a part of this incredible milestone. My passion is weddings—each of them is unique as the bride and groom who celebrate them. My priority is building a bond with every bride so that she is more friend than client. I see myself as an ally—one that can truly understand what every wedding says about each couple.

I have been around weddings my entire life. As a girl, I shadowed my father, a talented photographer, and president of the Wedding Photography Association of Orange County. From this unique beginning, I was able to soak in so much information. I not only learned the components of documenting these celebrations, but I began to see how the entire day is carefully orchestrated, like a waltz.

I continued to grow professionally, working with the most elite catering company of Southern California, The Turnip Rose. Here, I learned the nuts-and-bolts of weddings—all the behind-the-scenes activity that must come together to create a perfect day. I became well-versed in successful preparation, setup, coordination, and styles. I am always eager to gain more knowledge, to come up with new ideas, and I learn from each of my brides. For the past ten years in Chicago, I have continued my journey, learning everything I can along the way.

I simply love weddings. My talent for paying attention to detail, truly listening to what my brides want, and my ability to think creatively, make me a natural wedding coordinator. My experience will make your wedding planning creative, exciting and easy. Visions Event Studio is my vision realized.

I have always loved making the world around me a beautiful and magical place. Growing up in theatre, I craved creativity and connection and felt inspired to invoke emotion through the stories we told. You could feel the electric energy in the air, the magic that the cast had created, and the only time I’ve felt that magic outside of theatre is when I attended my first wedding. 

I quickly realized that the skillset I’d gained in the theatre could be used to help create magical moments on the happiest days of people’s lives. I could invoke that same emotion telling the stories of each unique couple. As a hopeless romantic myself, my dream of becoming a wedding planner was born! From tea parties to Prom, I planned every event I could all the way through college, where I gained valuable event experience planning for my sorority and through internships with local businesses, waiting for my opportunity in the wedding industry to present itself–and then I found Visions!

I feel honored knowing the work I do with Visions will create magical memories couples will cherish for a lifetime–something I don’t take lightly. Visions has helped make my dream become a reality and allows me to do the same for couples in love every day.

I have always been surrounded by love. Whether it was family, friends, Nicholas Sparks books, or watching the most recent romance movies, I found myself blessed with knowing what real love looks like from a young age. As one hopeless romantic does, growing up in a small town and moving to the city for college, hoping for a love that mirrors my parents’. Another classic trait, that being the routine tears when watching proposal videos, allowed me to understand how beautiful it is to watch others find love. Knowing that, I began to find myself wanting to help others with the happiest day of their lives; their wedding day. 

From planning surprise birthday parties to helping aunts and uncles with small details to their weddings, I did as much as I could to show others how appreciated and loved they were as often as I could. I cried at every wedding I went to, even as a kid. Which is why, once I left my small New England town for Chicago, I knew what I wanted to do when I graduated in 4 years.  They say your career shouldn’t feel like work, like something you have to wake up and do every day. It should feel like you get to wake up and do what you love. Finding Visions has proven that statement true. Watching people show their love for one another is one of life’s greatest gifts. Nicholas Sparks once said, “Every great love starts with a great story”, and being able to create the most beautiful start to the story of a couple’s life is a blessing.

As every freshman in college does, I often reflected on what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. Something that stood out to me was that I have always had a passion for making something beautiful. I can be a bit of a perfectionist, so whether I’m playing with make-up, putting a pen to paper, or decorating for holidays, I always make sure I’m giving it 110%. Today, as a senior at the University of Mississippi, I found a way to incorporate that passion into a career. 

In May 2022, I will graduate with a degree in Integrated Marketing Communications with a minor in general business and a social media specialization. I’ve realized that I can turn my love for all things beautiful into a mindset when working in digital marketing. When the opportunity to work for Visions presented itself, I knew that it would be a perfect fit. Here, I get to create content that accurately reflects this amazing company and showcases all the beautiful work that Visions creates. The team at Visions is one of a kind. I enjoy waking up every day and working with them to make the most important day of your life so special.

I’m a 3rd generation creative, my grandfather being the first. 

He was a wedding photographer in California where my mom was an intern and learned so much. Since I was four, I have always wanted to help my mom with her job. I love creating anything, whether it’s art, baking, or crafts; my hands are always dirty with glitter and paint. I started helping my mom in 2017 where I fell in love with the proposals. She allows me to help choose the flowers, make rose petals (that is one of my favorite things), and even allows me to set up and light the candles right before the big moment. I love to pray for the couple beforehand and am proud to be helping my mom with the couple’s biggest day of their lives.
